Mining Electric and Hydraulic Shovel Emergency Escape Chutes
An evacuation from a Mining Shovel fitted with a Model No. 101 vertical escape chute will take less than 10 to 15 seconds (dependent on height) – this is from the evacuee first touching the chute container to being at ground level and walking away.
