Emergency Egress Systems for MINING DRAGLINES

The Model No. 101 vertical escape chute is fitted to Mining Draglines as an alternative means of emergency evacuation.

In this application, the use of the escape chute is not one for where fire is the cause of the emergency evacuation, but one where the Dragline can become unstable due to ground movement. This ground movement can make it very precarious for the operator to evacuate the Dragline, particularly when it is sitting at an unbalanced difficult angle for standard stairway and ladders to be used.
